Stirling motor stainless hot cap test

Stirling motor stainless hot cap test Tube. Duration : 2.62 Mins.

ABANDONED HOT CAP: I have been comparing the hemispheric and flat bottom styles of hotcaps and this is a test of the flat end 69mm id cap. I am tig welding a 3/16 waterjet cut flange on the end in stainless then using a thick carbon fiber/Viton gasket sheet 1/8" tested to 40% heat transfer and then a 1/8" mild steel cap w/flange to postion displacer rod and 2 hard line air feeds to power piston which will be on bolted with the steel cap to stainless bore. I have a question though, does the travel in power piston factor as cold space? or should I flange this shorter and change metals midpoint of displacer to creat a cold spot halfway up? I have posted some 4" flywheel templates if anyone would like to vote on one. britgaskets.ca
